ABOUT THE FA PARENT COMMUNITY
The FA Parent Community encompasses parents of Fraser Academy students and alumni. It helps build, support and maintain an engaged school community. An Executive Committee helps manage and oversee the activities of the FA Parent Community, liaising with School administration.
The vision for the FA Parent Community is to engage all parents in the betterment of the School by building a strong and active community through activities which align with the School’s mission, vision and strategic direction.
Activities include:
- creating expectations of how to support the School’s mission, vision and strategic direction as an engaged community member;
- participating in interactions, events and other experiences which welcome, engage and connect our parents, enabling them to support each other, network, be proud community members and strong ambassadors for the School;
- maintaining effective communication and interaction between the PVG and School;
- supporting the Advancement department through promoting the School and designated fundraising activities.
FA Parent Community activities may rely on various fundraising activities such as ticket, or other, sales and support. Funds support the annual operation of FA Parent Community activities, including community building events, teacher appreciation lunch as well as the student education experience.
